My loves, it is my absolute pleasure to introduce you to my friend, Jayme Jo. Not only is she an extreme talent, she is truly beautiful from the inside out. I can't wait for you to get to know her a little better. Enjoy.
I feel like many would agree that's it's not easy to become the true you, the person you were always meant to be. We have so many outside influences telling us right from wrong, their opinion of what success really is, what's "beautiful," what's "frowned upon." I'm here to say that I'm finally in the right direction and it's a life goal of mine to open that door for other women.
Sometimes it just takes time, other times it's just meeting the right people and exposing yourself to the right things, my story is true to all of these. I was born and raised in a small town in Wisconsin, where people are very friendly, but judgmental. Most of these people work at a large hospital in a neighboring town or in agriculture. I've always known neither is for me.
At a young age I was wearing mascara and sporting around fifty seven barrettes. The Avon lady was bribing me to wash my face in exchange for lipstick and this lit the fire that started my career. I lived out my high school career being social and doing makeup for prom and drama club. After high school I moved to the Appleton area where the only person I knew was my aunt. I worked as a bartender and had so much fun. I was also spending my money as fast as I could make it. My aunt has been a huge influence for me. She has opened my eyes to so many things and one of the most important was Market America. I became a partner of hers at age eighteen and loved having access to the skincare and wellness products.
After a few years I decided that it might be time to go back to school at the age of twenty two and esthetics fell into my lap and heart. I did quite well and landed a great job with a dermatologist at a Medi Spa and learned so much, feeling as though I was in my perfect career. I had a huge patient following and spent most of my days performing laser hair removal, Microdermabrasion, medical grade chemical peels, laser resurfacing, dermaplaning, intense pulse light therapy and assisting with Botox and Juvederm. I loved every minute of it.
While starting my career at the Medi Spa , I gave birth to my first child, a beautiful and perfect baby boy. I feel as though I was always meant to be a mother and I take that role very seriously. Briar is now six years old and continues to steal my heart. I never saw myself leaving the Appleton area, I thought I was a lifer there but life changes and pulls you in directions that you didn't knew existed. My destiny was coming to fruition, but I was unsure of the outcome. I became pregnant with my second child and moved back close to my hometown and started a life with my childhood love, Jeremy. Amelya was born and just when you think that it isn't humanly possible to love another as much as your first child, your heart explodes to make room for a chubby cheeked perfect blonde. She is now three years old and proclaims to be the boss of our home.
Shortly after Amelya was born, so was indigo bloom skin Spa. Here it is, my calling, my platform to meet people, to touch their lives, to let them know to take risks, to do it all, love fearlessly, to love to a fault and to be who they are truly meant to be. This is all because my god given gift is to perfect eyebrows? To make their skin glow? Absolutely! As much as I love the beauty industry, it is really all about creating relationships and touching lives, and even though my contribution may be small, it doesn't always seem so miniscule.
I owe so much to my family, Market America and my clients for opening my eyes to so much more. It's really amazing how every person you meet plays a role in your story. I will continue to teach, train, support, beautify or just listen to those in my path. To compliment my number one service at the spa, which is eyebrow shaping and tinting, I will now be performing microblading, which is a semi-permanent brow enhancement. It may seem that I am all about nurturing, but I am also all for results! So don't forget to wash your face, exfoliate and wear your sunscreen. all my love, Jayme Jo
